พันธกิจและวิสัยทัศน์

1. วิเคราะห์โครงสร้างสมาคมการศึกษาเรื่องความปวดแห่งประเทศไทยและปรับโครงสร้างให้เหมาะกับยุคสมัย การเปลี่ยนแปลง ความท้าทาย และอนาคต

2. เพิ่มอัตราส่วนของกรรมการบริหารสมาคมให้มีบุคลากรจากกระทรวงสาธารณสุขเป็นอย่างน้อยร้อยละ 30 เพื่อให้การพัฒนาการระงับปวดครอบคลุมทั่วประเทศไทย

3. สร้างงานวิจัยที่มีประโยชน์ต่อประชากรไทยในวงกว้าง

4. ประสานความร่วมมือกับภาครัฐและเอกชนของประเทศไทย ทั้งระดับกระทรวงสาธารณสุข เครือข่ายโรงพยาบาลกลุ่มสถาบันแพทยศาสตร์แห่งประเทศไทย สมาคมโรงพยาบาลเอกชน ราชวิทยาลัย สมาคม/ชมรม/เครือข่ายสาธารณสุข เพื่อการพัฒนาการระงับปวดที่เป็นรูปธรรม ยั่งยืน ดำรงการเรียนรู้และการพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่อง ทั้งการบริการมาตรฐานและการบริการด้วยเทคโนโลยีขั้นสูง

5. ประสานความร่วมมือกับต่างประเทศตามหลักการสถานการณ์ที่ได้ประโยชน์ร่วมกันทั้งสองฝ่าย
